Network Food Electronic Monitoring System launched

Yesterday Hangzhou and TMall jointly launched the network foot electronic monitoring system. It is kind of an "ID card" for food. Taobao and Alipay will be based on the requirements of the Food Safety Act which means that sellers have to fill in the data of the product, instead it will not be released for sale. As a result food safety problems can be traced and product informations are getting more transparent for consumers.

New Search Engine 360 Search Is Excluding Baidu

The search engine has just moved to a new domain and is now accessible under 360sou.com. Furthermore, the website got a facelift that looks far more clear and modern than before. What has also changed, is that they are now excluding all of the Baidu services, like Baidu Maps and similar.

Is Qihoo 360 becoming an advertisement behemoth?

Qihoo 360's latest financial report of Q2 shows a revenue of $ 72.8 million including online advertising revenue of $ 50.8 million. In 2006 they had high users costs and a low revenue. As they completely throw over their business model it is now the other way round. Qihoo 360 is becoming a powerful magnetic field to attract advertisers, therefore they now build channels of advertising.

Suning Eguo's First Half 2012 Report

The e-commerce platform of Suning has just released their latest financial report, which states that they've made a total sales of 52.8 billion yuan in the first half year of 2012. This is an year-on-year increase of 105,53%.
